Yorick Sands

Founder and CEO

Founded by Yorick A. Sands, a distinguished educator and leader, SUNSHINE EDUCATION ACQUISITION was born out of a vision to transform educational systems and foster environments where all students can succeed.

With roots in the vibrant communities of The Bahamas and extending our reach across international waters, our journey is one of passion, dedication, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Hermia Sands

Chief Operating Officer

Hermia was born and raised in The Bahamas. She moved to The United States about 12 years ago. She served and performed at a very high level, with her students always outperforming their grade-level peers. She served at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She also has outstanding school leadership experience. She served as subject coordinator and grade level head for several years.

In addition, she served as Information Technology Head of Department at Success Training College; and as Information Technology Manager at The Bahamas Mortgage Corporation. Ms. Sands is a Master Teacher of Science, Math, and Language Arts.
